This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is collected when you use trendmart.com.ng and trendmart.com.ng mobile application (“Trendmart”) and the services provided through (together the “Service”), how such personal data will be used and shared.

BY USING THE SERVICE, YOU PROMISE US THAT (I) YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY, AND (II) YOU ARE OVER 16 YEARS OF AGE (OR HAVE HAD YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN READ AND AGREE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY FOR YOU). If you do not agree, or are unable to make this promise, you must not use the Service. In such case, you must contact the support team via email to request deletion of your account and data.

If you are a redisent of Nigeria in Africa, you are binded by CPC which is established under Consumer Protection Council Act, Cap 25, 2004 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, to promote and protect the interest of consumers over all products and services. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

1. Personal Information You Choose to Provide

You do not need an account to browse listings, but an account is highly required if you must post any ad listing or respond to listings through reviews.

If you choose to create an account and/or use our Services, we may collect personally identifiable information that you submit such as your name, contact data (address, email address, phone number) and other information that you enter into the Services. Likewise, we may also collect additional personally identifiable information that you voluntarily include in your listings or transmit with your communications to us.

The information that you provide when you post a listing is displayed in public areas and available to all visitors. Any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information, so please exercise caution. We also provide you with the option to submit pictures and/or a description of your item or service. When you post your listing on the Site, the description and pictures are displayed on the Site and accessible to visitors on the Site.

If you provide personal information to a buyer or seller (either directly or by circumventing our messaging system), we have no control over how that information might be used by the recipient.

2. Web Site Use Information

Similar to other commercial websites, the Site utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” (see explanation below, “What Are Cookies?”), web server logs, along with web beacons, tracking pixels, and similar tracking technologies, to collect information about how the Site is used. Information gathered through cookies, web server logs, and associated technologies may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at the Site, and the websites visited just before and just after the Site. What are Cookies?

Certain Disclosures

Delete Your Information

If you have an account for our Services, you may update, correct or delete information about you at any time by logging into your online account and modifying the settings/information in your profile. If you wish to delete your information, you can do so in two ways:

• The first is to delete your account. To delete your account, log in and go to the Your dashboard page. From there, click the orange “Edit settings” button towards the bottom of the page. Next click the red “Delete all” button. You will be required to enter your password one more time. This will permanently delete your account and all of your information from our system; this action cannot be undone.
• Please let us know through this web form that you wish to delete your information. You will need to provide identifying information such as your email, account ID, or ad ID.

Note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may also retain cached or archived copies of information about you for a certain period to the extent required by law.

In the preceding twelve months, we have collected and used the following categories of personal information as described below:

Category of personal information

Note that if you place an order for Services and/or pay a fee, we will collect additional payment and billing information from you, such as your credit/debit card information. We do not store or retain sensitive information such as full credit card or debit card numbers, bank account information, or other financial information that could be used directly to access a person’s financial account; however, we do store the transaction tokens that can be used to retrieve, and in some cases submit, information associated with your transaction to our service providers (such as the last four digits of a payment card).

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes for which we originally collected it and for other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Notice of Information Collected and/or Disclosed for “Sales” or “Sharing”

State Privacy Laws require that we notify you if we use your personal information to display advertisements to you based on personal information obtained from your activities over time and across nonaffiliated websites or online applications.

Consumer Rights under the CCPA

The services that we use for these purposes may collect data concerning the date and time when the message was viewed by our users, as well as when they interacted with it, such as by clicking on links included in the message.

4.5. To research and analyze your use of the Service

This helps us to better understand our business, analyze our operations, maintain, improve, innovate, plan, design, and develop Trendmart and our new products. We also use such data for statistical analysis purposes, to test and improve our offers. This enables us to better understand what features and sections of Trendmart our users like more, what categories of users use our Service. As a consequence, we often decide how to improve Trendmart based on the results obtained from this processing. For example, if we discover that Jobs section is not as popular as others, we may focus on improving it.

4.6. To send you marketing communications

We process your personal data for our marketing campaigns. We may add your email address to our marketing list. As a result, you will receive information about our products, such as for example, special offers, and products of our partners. If you do not want to receive marketing emails from us, you can unsubscribe following instructions in the footer of the marketing emails, by contacting our support team at support@trendmart.com.ng or in your profile settings.

We may also show you advertisements on the Website, and send you push notifications for marketing purposes. To opt out of receiving push notifications, you need to change the settings on your device or/and browser.

4.7. To personalize our ads

We and our partners use your personal data to tailor ads and possibly even show them to you at the relevant time. For example, if you have visited our Website, you might see ads of our products, for example, in your Meta’s feed.

We may target advertising to you through a variety of ad networks and exchanges, using data from advertising technologies on and off of our Services like unique cookie or similar tracking technology, pixel, device identifiers, geolocation, operation system information, email.

Data Transfer Notice

We use servers located in the United States to process your personal information.
